“There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.”

From: Gorse Hill
Occupation: Apprentice Toolmaker
Class of: 2012

After finishing school, he took a Level 3 IT and evening A Level photography course at Swindon College.

Jordan signed up for an Apprentice Toolmaker role at BMW / MINI Plant Swindon. The toolmaker role involves maintaining and repairing the press tools, which are used to produce different panels required to make a MINI. He is now on his 3rd year of the apprenticeship scheme, earning, yet also learning and gaining qualifications at the same time.

In his spare time, he is a keen enthusiast photographer and vehicle enthusiast. He tends to combine all his collective skills universally; using skills learned in the engineering environment to work on his and friends’ cars for example, and vice versa.

He also likes to combine his passion for photography with cars, so tends to partake in a few vehicle photo shoots in his spare time and attend car shows.
