Following our closure on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June due to the extreme heatwave and red weather alert, we have been tracking the national red weather alert zones. Swindon and SN2 are right on the cusp of the amber to red weather alerts. To remind us all, red alerts represents a significant risk to life.

Additionally we have been tracking the UK Health Security agency (UKHSA) who have extended the current heat health alerts until 11pm on Friday 26th June. In light of this and the current temperatures inside classrooms at Kingsdown school we have made the decision to close the school on Friday and switch to remote learning for the whole day - Periods 1 - 5.

We will reopen as normal on Monday 29th June at 8:15am. We ask that all students attend roll call at this time.
