Next week, our Year 8 students will participate in the Young Green Briton Challenge, working in teams to address real sustainability issues related to transport, energy, food, biodiversity, and waste. As part of their current Geography unit on climate change, students are examining the causes and effects of global warming, and will have a dedicated lesson this week to prepare for the challenge.
Students will identify a local environmental issue and start designing practical, student-led solutions to encourage more sustainable living. The day will end with group presentations in the Main Hall, where students share their ideas and demonstrate excellent teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking.
Kingsdown are proud to see our students engage with real-world challenges and thoughtfully consider how their choices can positively affect people, places, and the planet.
