A massive shoutout to our incredible Year 10s who absolutely crushed their practical session this week! They’ve been working on a major culinary milestone of Portioning a whole chicken.
In the culinary world, portioning a bird is considered to be a high-level technical skill which requires precision & anatomy knowledge, knife skills and Waste Reduction.
Mastering this now is a massive step forward for their GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition practical exams next year. We are so proud of the focus, maturity, and hygiene standards displayed by everyone in the room. Keep this energy up, and next year’s practical exam is going to be a breeze!
