A return to school for Year 10 students

After what seems like an eternity, we have been thrilled to welcome back over 140 of our Year 10 students this week. Having now seen thirteen of the twenty student groups, it is clear to see they have missed us too. Each and every one of the students has conducted themselves with absolute pride and respect during their induction session - they are all now ready for next few weeks where each group will begin working on English, Maths and Science in preparation for the start of Year 11. Students commented that school felt “unusual, quiet and strange” but after the session they felt “relaxed and prepared” for the coming weeks.

Other students commented

I think the layout is good and the markers help to continually remind us about social distancing

I feel quite happy about coming back to school now

Another class commented

I have never been so excited to be in school - can we stay all afternoon? This is the most focused I have been

We are very much looking forward to seeing the remaining groups on Thursday and Friday but if you haven’t opted to return, it is certainly not too late. Please call the main office to book your child in.
