Thirteen Year 10 Kingsdown students spent the morning in the Learning Resource Centre with Year 10 students from Dorcan Technology College to take part in a workshop presented by professional artist, Fred Blunt.

After taking a look at some of Fred’s very impressive artwork and being shown how he goes about creating his designs, students were given three different scenarios and were asked to choose one to illustrate.  By the end of the morning there were some brilliant designs produced by some very talented artists!

Fred Blunt will be visiting other secondary schools in Swindon during the week long Youth Festival of Literature and the best illustrations produced during the workshops will be displayed at Kingsdown.  These will be judged on Monday, 16th November, by artists, Fred Blunt and Ken White, as well as the Editor of the Swindon Advertiser.
