Safer Internet Day (SID) is fast approaching and CEOP, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, are releasing "The Parents' and Carers' Guide to the Internet"; an entertaining, light-hearted look at what it takes to be an online parent.
With interviews from experts including Dr Tanya Byron and Dr Linda Papadopoulos, industry players like Facebook and Moshi Monsters and, most importantly, children themselves, this TV-style show aims to answer all of the tricky questions parents may be afraid to ask.
The Build Up
CEOP have launched 'Keeping up with the Joneses', a short 50's style trailer to help get parents thinking about their children's online lives and to promote Safer Internet Day activities. This and other new content can be seen at thinkuknow.co.uk/parents!
Safer Internet Day
On Safer Internet Day, Tuesday 7th February, CEOP will broadcast the "The Parents' and Carers' Guide to the Internet". It will be available from 7am on thinkuknow.co.uk/parents and youtube.com/ceop.
Additionally, the CEOP team will be taking questions from parents and carers from 6pm to 9pm via Twitter and Facebook. Join the conversation at #parentsguide or respond on Facebook - facebook.com/clickceop
What do parents think?
CEOP are keen to get feedback re "The Parents' and Carers' Guide to the Internet" and would like parents to complete a short survey.
