On Thursday 12th January 2012 four Kingsdown teams took part in the 'Swindon Boccia Panathlon Competition' (Boccia is originally a Paralympic sport). Dozens of teams from schools across Swindon and beyond began the day at Next Generation by playing  in a round robin pooled play off.

All students from Kingsdown played well and really enjoyed the opportunity to represent the school in a sporting capacity. Congratulations to them all for a job well done as each team won at least 2 of their games against other schools.

However, special congratulations go to players from Kingsdown Team 1 who won their pool, the semi-final and the final (against Rowdeford School, Devizes) to be crowned overall winners of the Swindon Boccia Panathlon competition!

The next payment of £50 for the Year 8 German and French trips is due on Friday 6th January 2012.  Payments need to be placed in the school safe in an  envelope stating your child’s name and German or French Trip.  Thank you for your support.
