French Trip 20th to 23rd July 2010
|
34 students and 4 members of staff will be meeting at Kingsdown School at 7:15am on Tuesday 20th July. The bus will be departing at 7:30am and heading to Dover. Crossing to Calais with SeaFrance, the bus is expected to arrive in Boulogne at 4pm.
The group will be returning on Friday 23rd July and is expected to arrive at Kingsdown School at 7pm.
Day 4
Yesterday was great!! We made croissants and baguettes and were entertained by a knife wielding baker - everybody still has all fingers. We then went onto plopsaland - some attempted the Anubis and some the log flume. We had a torrential down pour and then dried off in the hot sun - some even got a little colour and it itsnt rust.
The weather has been great all in all everybody had a good night sleep and needed it we are all packed and ready to go the hypermarket to buy our family their presents.
We hope to be back by 7.
Day 3
Yesterday was "fantastique". In the morning we went to the traditional French market in Boulogne followed by a walk into the old walled city. We then had a picnic in the park before heading into the Sea Life Centre where we got to see and touch weird and wonderful sea creatures.
That wasn't the end of the day. We then went to a chocolate factory where we were hypnotised by the world's best salesperson into buying lots and lots of chocolate, after smelling, touching and tasting his products. For tea we had pizza, meatballs, chips and ice-cream. Very nice! And we rounded off the day with a game of bowling.
At 10 o'clock 34 rather weary Kingsdown students went to bed and weren't seen or heard of until 7 o'clock this morning.
Day 2
Students had a relaxed evening, they played football with another school who are here from Newcastle. Everybody was fine throughout the night. Not much sleep was had but we think everybody will sleep after a packed day today. We are heading out to the French market today.
Day 1
The group arrived safely just before 2:30pm (UK time). Students are settling in with unpacking and bed making. Dinner then disco this evening.
