Aiming Higher funding for School Clubs

Extended Schools joined forces with Kingsdown ASD Centre and Miss Miller from Grange Junior to apply for an Aiming Higher fund for assisted after school classes. Our application has been successful and this September 2011 marked the start of our after school cooking classes. Funding is for the whole year and will include cycling, trampolining, archery and crafts.

Garden Success

Swindon Garden Centre recently contacted Extended Schools to see if any of our students would like to enter the Schools Garden Design Competition. Dan Summers from Kingsdown School was one of two children from England whose drawing was picked. Dan's design was recreated at the Newbury Show on the 16th September 2011 and Dan and his family received four tickets to view his creation. The design is now being created by Swindon Garden Centre at Kingsdown School.
