Introduction
The Humanities subjects at Kingsdown School are Geography, History, and R.E. In Years 7, 8 and 9 students will have two hours per fortnight of each subject. All three subjects are available at GCSE level.

Facilities
The faculty suite is comprised of three history classrooms, two geography classrooms, and two RE classrooms. We also have a dedicated ICT room with 30 student workstations.
Policies and practices
Homework is set regularly in all three subject areas to consolidate learning that has taken place in the classroom and to foster the skill of independent study. Students will be assessed throughout the year and levels will be recorded every term. All students will have a tracking sheet in the front of their book / folder in order that they can keep a record of their achievements over time.
