Business Studies is offered as a GCSE at Key Stage 4 (KS4) and offers students the opportunity to develop skills for the work place.
This subject offers the opportunity to learn about all aspects of businesses. You will learn about the world of business through research and investigation, as well as through practical tasks. You will learn about how small businesses are developed and discover how businesses promote themselves and keep their customers happy. You will learn how businesses manage both their finances and the people who work for them. You will develop effective decision making skills and will be required to apply the business theory to real business situations.
This course is both active and enjoyable. You need to be good at communicating, explaining your ideas and working with numbers to solve problems. You will learn about how to be a creative thinker and how to make decisions.
The course is divided into three main areas of study :
