The school has 2 gyms, 3 tennis courts, a basketball court and extensive playing fields. Sports taught include dance, badminton, football, athletics, basketball, rugby, cricket, tennis, rounders, netball and gymnastics. There is a strong emphasis on healthy mind and healthy body.
The department runs a number of competitive and non-competitive extra-curricular sports clubs many of which are extremely successful. Many students represent Swindon, Wiltshire and some England in their chosen sports.
Key Stage 4 Physical Education is a compulsory subject (foundation) in Year 10 and Year 11. Every student receives a 1 hour lesson each week.
The PE Faculty aims to provide an enjoyable, satisfying and balanced programme of activities which aims to meet the needs of all students.
During the PE lessons students can expect to be involved actively as Performers, Evaluators and Officials.
It is intended that the programme offered will develop in pupils, the knowledge, skills and attitudes conducive to leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
In Year 10 and 11 the activities followed are:
Football, Rugby (Boys), Dance (Girls), Badminton, Basketball, Hockey, Health Related Exercise (all pupils), trampolining, netball
In the Summer Term pupils may choose two activities from:-
Cricket, Tennis, Softball, Athletics, Volleyball

Physical education prepares students for the world of work by providing them with plenty of opportunities to develop and enhance the following:
- Communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Leadership skills
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to give and receive constructive criticism
- GCSE could assist those wishing to pursue a career in the leisure industry
